Platform guide
Moonlight Peaks Platforms, Prices, Demo and Multiplayer Status
Moonlight Peaks is available now through Steam for Windows and macOS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Google Play. The developer also names Steam Deck as a supported platform, and Valve classified the game as Deck Verified when this page was checked.
Nintendo offers both the original Switch release and a native Switch 2 Edition. Owners of the Switch version can use a separate Upgrade Pack. Official store records describe the game as single-player. No official PlayStation 5, Xbox, or iOS release had been announced as of July 14, 2026. The publisher gives July 7 as the global launch date, while Steam displays July 6 in its own metadata; this page preserves both dated source values.

Switch version or Switch 2 Edition?
There are three valid paths. The right one depends on your hardware and whether you already own the original Switch release.
Original Switch
Choose the standard edition for an original Switch. Nintendo lists a 2.5 GB download, three play modes, one player and Save Data Cloud.
Switch game on Switch 2
The original version is officially supported on Switch 2, with behavior described as consistent with Switch. It is not the native Switch 2 Edition.
Native Switch 2 Edition
Nintendo promises higher resolution and improved frame rates, but publishes no exact targets. Its listed download is 4.5 GB.
Upgrade an owned copy
The Upgrade Pack requires the Switch game and converts it to the Switch 2 Edition. The $5 figure is an Americas launch announcement, not a global live price.
Steam computers
Windows, Mac and Steam Deck checks
Steam lists native Windows and macOS builds. Linux is not currently listed as a supported operating system. The official release announcement names Steam Deck, and Valve's live compatibility endpoint classified the game as Deck Verified when checked on July 14.
Verified is a compatibility label, not a performance guarantee. This page therefore does not publish community frame-rate targets, battery estimates or claims that every current issue is resolved.

- Mac minimum: macOS 14, Apple M1, 4 GB RAM and 8 GB storage.

Before you buy
Price, demo and player-mode boundaries
These short answers use store language precisely. A cloud-save badge is not multiplayer, and a launch price is not a permanent worldwide price.
The publisher announced $34.99 for Steam and Switch, $39.99 for Switch 2 and $5 for the Upgrade Pack in the Americas. Check today's regional store price before purchasing.
The official site currently lists those two demo routes. The Switch demo runs on Switch 2; it is not presented as a separate native Switch 2 demo.
Steam says Single-player and Nintendo says one player on one system. No official co-op or multiplayer mode was found at the latest check.
Steam Cloud and Nintendo Save Data Cloud operate within their own ecosystems. They are not evidence of cross-platform save transfer.
Other platform status
Not officially announced at our last check
Not listed today does not mean permanently rejected. Each answer keeps its check date.
PlayStation 5
No official PS5 version was listed on the game site, publisher announcement or platform destinations checked July 14, 2026.
Xbox
No official Xbox version was announced in the same current first-party sources. This should not be rewritten as “never coming.”
iPhone and iPad
Google Play currently lists Android and Windows. That listing does not establish an iOS or iPadOS release.
Platform FAQ
Answers with dated limits
Every answer distinguishes live store metadata from a publisher announcement and leaves unknowns unknown.
Is Moonlight Peaks on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2?
Yes. There are separate digital releases for Switch and Switch 2, while the original Switch version is also supported on Switch 2. The native edition offers higher resolution and improved frame rates, and owners of the Switch version can use an Upgrade Pack. Verify your regional eShop price before buying.
Is it on Steam, macOS and Steam Deck?
Yes. Steam lists Windows and macOS builds, and the developer's launch announcement includes Steam Deck. Valve classified it as Deck Verified at our July 14 check. That dated status does not promise a fixed frame rate, battery life or issue-free performance after every patch.
Is Moonlight Peaks available on PS5 or Xbox?
Not in the official sources checked July 14, 2026. The publisher currently lists Steam, Switch, Switch 2 and Google Play, but no PlayStation or Xbox release. This means “not officially announced,” not “never coming.”
Does Moonlight Peaks have a demo?
The current official site lists a demo through Steam and Nintendo Switch. The publisher confirms that the Switch demo can be played on Switch 2. It should not be described as a separate native Switch 2 demo, and other demo platforms remain unconfirmed.
Is Moonlight Peaks multiplayer or co-op?
Official store metadata presents the game as single-player. Steam uses that exact label, and Nintendo lists one player on a single system. Steam Cloud and Nintendo Save Data Cloud are save features, not evidence of online multiplayer.
What is the Moonlight Peaks release date?
The official worldwide announcement gives July 7, 2026. Steam displays July 6 in its store metadata. Because the sources do not explain the difference, this page records the publisher's global date and the Steam date separately instead of changing one to match the other.
